    Quartz is seeking a DevOps Analyst - EDM (Enterprise Data Management) to join the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Team. This newly created position will be responsible for the coordination of development, automation, and production deployments and associated change management processes for EDM initiatives. This role will provide centralized governance for EDM deployments within the established solution delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure the quality and consistency of associated migrations by enforcing required standards and procedures.

    Responsibilities
    • DevOps Development
      • Design and develop moderately complex automations for SDLC and CM (Change Management) toolsets.
      • Develop and maintain API integrations that support process automation and data delivery.
      • Support components of the EDM DevOps related to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of code, scripts, and configurations for workload automation, data delivery, and integrations with service management and notification platforms.
      • Engage in collaborative efforts with IT staff and external vendors to assess and improve services and applications used on-premises and in the cloud to enhance EDM software, data, and CM procedures.
      • Apply release engineering best practices to the package and deployment of application code, leveraging both established CI/CD tools and custom scripting solutions.
    • Deployment Coordination
      • Coordinate the release and deployment of EDM assets and associated CM procedures.
      • Identify, implement, and monitor deployment improvements to reduce risk and achieve higher levels of automations, and improve production support.
      • Review and improve the cross-platform implementations of EDM by involving multiple EDM Teams members and Quartz process owners.
      • Participate in Change Approval Bord (CAB) meetings.
      • Function as a liaison to data governance, business, and IT leaders for data migration activities and communications.
    • Operational Support
      • Plan, assist, and facilitate production deployment activities on and off-hours, as required.
      • Identify deployment incidents and assist service owners with immediate and long-term solutions.
      • Participate in systems readiness actions during upgrades and patches for EDM infrastructure.
      • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to the remediation planning and implementation activities for audits and control findings as they relate to risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
      • Diagnose and resolve application, configuration, and code-level technical issues, propose solutions for process improvements.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of development operations experience and change management experience; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement
    • Experience with SDLC automation, CI/CD, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Jira & Atlassian Suite, SVN, Azure DevOps, etc.)
    • Intermediate knowledge of scripting languages (shell scripting, batch scripting, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
    • Intermediate experience with source control tools such as GIT, GITHUB, or VisualSourceControl
    • Intermediate problem solving and analytical skills
    • Knowledge and exposure to enterprise deployment and change management processes and procedures
    • Knowledge of SQL and programming concepts
    • Cross-platform experience and expertise to identify and resolve deployment issues
    • Excellent documentation and written communication skills, including a passion for bridging the gap between business and technical users
    • Knowledge of enterprise data management components including databases, data processing platforms, reporting, file transfer & encryption, networking, application servers
    • Basic knowledge of transmission protocols (XML, JSON, SMTP, SFTP, EDI)
    • Basic knowledge of APIs including REST
    • Basic knowledge of system level and integration level testing
    • Basic experience with scheduling, automation tools, and managed file transfer tools
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a timely manner
    • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and be adaptable to change
    This position can work 100% remotely or from our office in Madison, WI in a hybrid or full-time on-site arrangement, if preferred. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
