    ROLE OBJECTIVE:


    The Compliance Specialist is responsible for coordinating product compliance efforts of various material and safety standards, REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, CE, UKCA.

    Serves as the liaison to our compliance partner and facilitates actions needed to obtain and maintain compliance. Works with all areas of the organization to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Work with external suppliers and customers to communicate compliance standards. Maintains documentation to ensure revision control and accessibility. Supports recertification of ISO 9001 and ISO Reports to the Quality Manager.


    GENERAL FUNCTIONS/SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Promote the Bird Family Values through your actions Trust, Innovation, Teamwork, Achievement, and Accountability.

    Be able to describe the quality policy and goals, your contribution to quality, and the effects of not observing quality and customer requirements.

    Maintain data and documents related to Birds Compliance Programs.
    Support national and international standards, laws, and regulations concerning materials.
    Assist in data gathering and management of Material and Safety Compliance.
    Work within the reporting Software Database to understand regulations.
    Report parts and material data by submitting necessary documentation to customers for approval.
    Work with cross-functional departments to help them gather relevant information.
    Manage the coordination and closure of customer compliance requests related to regulatory standards.
    Evaluate existing processes and develop systematic approaches for long-term maintainability.
    Ensure proper training is conducted within the organization as it relates to regulatory compliance.
    Properly executes various forms, reports, and disclosures, and maintains repository of documentation.

    Supports recertification of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES (Applicant must meet all to be considered):Bachelors degree (in technical discipline or Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience Strong organizational, documenting, and reporting skills with meticulous attention to detail.

    Ability to prioritize daily workload amid changing priorities.
    Efficient data entry with a low error rate.
    Effective communicator with customers and to all levels of the organization Must take initiative, be a self-starter and self-learner.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint; databases including Access, ERP.Proficient in English; excellent oral and written communication skills working with all levels of the organization.

    Experience with Quality and Compliance preferred.
