    Description
    About This Position:The Certified Surgical Technician (CST) ensures the operating room, supplies, and equipment are prepared in advance for the days' cases and opened with a sterile technique. Ensures that all equipment is in working order. Prepares for cases according to surgeon preferences. Assists the surgeon with field preparation, ensuring the field remains sterile, passing instruments, retracting, safely assisting with position changes, and with other duties and as requested by the surgeon. CST will assist with turning over the room in preparation for the next case and terminal at the end of the day.

    Our ideal candidate is an organized and motivated individual with a high professional standard for patient care and meticulous attention to safety and OR standards. The individual should be independent and accountable in completing professional responsibilities but also enjoy working as part of a close-knit high-functioning team. We are looking for an individual with long-term potential who enjoys connecting with others.

    Full-time; Part-time; PRN opportunities available.

    About Our Surgery Center:Our Surgery Center is a boutique AAAASF certified surgery suite with one operating room. We provide a high level of individualized care for plastic surgery patients. Our goal is to provide the best experience and outcome to our patients. We also value providing a positive and rewarding work environment for our team that emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.

    HIGHLIGHTED RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Maintains compliance with all Surgery Center policies and procedures.
    • Reviews preference and verifies case supplies prior to surgery.
    • Maintains an orderly surgical field and safely and efficiently passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
    • Anticipates and prioritizes the needs of the various steps associated with the procedure.
    • Assists in supply counts as dictated by the procedure.
    • Assists in ordering and stocking specialty supplies as directed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Graduate of an Accredited program for Surgical Technologists or Accredited program for First Assist. (CSFA)
    • Current BLS certification required.
    • Outpatient Surgery Experience Required.
    • One year of experience in plastic surgery preferred.
    • Certification strongly preferred.
    • SPD experience strongly preferred.
