The Opportunity

The Accounts Payable Lead will participate as a member of the Accounts Payable Team and will work with the Accounts Payable Manager to lead activities of the Accounts Payable team in processing, posting, and verifying accounts payable transactions. The Lead will help team members with system issues, understand and help communicate workflow issues to the Accounts Payable Manager, and recommend or implement measures for improvements. You will report to the Accounts Payable Manager.

Your Impact

• Perform vendor maintenance for our vendors following company policies
• Research vendor issues and respond promptly
• Communicate with vendors, buyers, and accounting
• Research and troubleshoot past due payables
• Maintain accounts payable reporting
• Review and resolve discrepancies to ensure payments
• Assist Accounts Payable Associates with any issues or questions that may arise
• Help with the monthly accounting close processes
• Track processing of invoices requiring special payment or turnaround
• Work with Accounts Payable Manager and staff members to ensure that department work activities proceed smoothly and resources are allocated

What You Bring

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Inventory experience
• Centralized A/P experience a plus
• High School Diploma
• Experience with Lawson, Dynamics, ImageNow, or Ecometry/Mozart a plus
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
• Great at communication, prioritization, and organizing daily work. Continuously document processes and compile notes for reference purposes.
• Work in a high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy
• Experienced with analytical skills, understanding a complex inquiry/problem, and effectively distinguishing how to solve.
