Joint & Spine, located in Waldwick, NJ has been helping patients live better, pain free lives for almost 30 years. We are a multi-disciplinary center providing both chiropractic and physical therapy services. We are looking to add a full time Patient Care Coordinator to our growing team.
We are looking for dependable, energetic self-starters who have a strong understanding of all aspects of front desk needs in a private practice setting.
Medical office experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate that has the general experience of insurance knowledge, multi-tasking and exceptional customer service.
In this role you will be responsible for:
o Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
o Answer and direct phone calls, text messages and emails appropriately and in a friendly manner
o Check patients in and make sure scheduled reflects appointment status
o Check patients out and reschedule next appointment
o Maintain accountability for the schedule
o Call and reschedule cancellations and no-shows
o Pull next day patient charts and organize per scheduled appointment time
o Prepare new patient charts
o Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
o Maintain updated records and files including patient demographics and insurance information
o Assist with maintaining office cleanliness including laundry
o Maintain inventory of all front office supplies
o Print daily close out reports and review for accuracy, keep daily stats updated
o Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to prioritize tasks/Multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff members
Strong computer skills; previous experience with an electronic medical records/electronic practice management system
Experience handling multiple phone lines
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to problem solve
Schedule: Monday - Friday AM and PM shifts, rotating Saturdays
Experience: Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
