    Territory Sales Associate

    Position overview

    To maximize the sales opportunities of PolyNovo by implementing an agreed and approved sales plan and improving the sales capability of the territory. You will provide case coverage and develop select accounts by building relationships, demonstrating extensive product knowledge, and providing exceptional customer service. Your primary call points will be plastic surgeons and general surgeons. Most of your time will be spent in the Operating Room. You will work side-by-side with an experienced Territory Sales Manager.

    Maintain all expenses within the agreed budget and ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws relating to the Code of Compliance (Department of Justice).

    To ensure all PolyNovo activities are within the Regulatory and Quality System requirements.

    • NovoSorb BTM is a man-made synthetic polymer that does not contain any biological materials. This is important because traumatic wounds often contain bacteria that may cause infection. Given that BTM is comprised of synthetic material it does not contain any food for bacteria and has shown to be robust and retain product integrity in the presence of infection
      • NovoSorb BTM is indicated for use in the management of wounds including partial and full-thickness wounds, pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, chronic and vascular ulcers, surgical wounds, trauma wounds (abrasions, lacerations, second-degree burns, and skin tears), and draining wounds.

    Key Responsibilities
    • In consultation with your assigned experienced Territory Sales manager, develop a Territory Business Plan (TBP) to gain and maximize PolyNovo sales
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with all key clinical and commercial customers in the territory
    • Align TBP with the Sales Plan to achieve all financial Territory targets as well as other critical milestones
    • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
    • Keep the National Director of Sales informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly sales plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
    • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, and providing data back to the National Director of Sales
    • Recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet PolyNovo standards
    • Play a key role in negotiating contracts and GPO supply agreements
    • Work with Reimbursement consultants to advance PolyNovo's reimbursement strategies and insurer relationships
    • Provide market feedback/input to the Quality, Regulatory and R&D team
    • Proactively identify, pursue and recommend growth opportunities and assess and prioritize potential business deals in terms of:
      • strategic fit
      • deal requirements
      • potential financial impact
      • risks
    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Exhibit timely and accurate communication to external parties and the internal teams
      • Market Intelligence on competitors and market dynamics including reimbursement
      • trends within the markets
      • Organize participation at trade shows
      • Organize customer events
      • Ensure collaborative relationships with PolyNovo team members and external stakeholders.
      • Ensure all documentation is up to date, quality system compliant and in order.
      • Comply with all company quality standards, procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements
      • Perform other related duties as assigned or required
      • Operate within the requirements of the quality system and ensure responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the applicable regulatory and quality processes.
      • Manage the development & maintenance of ISO 13485 procedures for regulatory and quality functions that ensure consistency with and compliance to the organization's Quality Management system.
    Territory parameters
    • St. Louis- St. Louis is the home base and the territory navigates north of Iowa City running down the river to Springfield IL, to Lake Ozark, Columbia, and Northern MO.

    • Base salary: $75k
    • Bonus: $36k
    • Total Comp: $111k

    Minimum requirements
    • 4 year BS/BA degree
    • Must live in/near the territory currently
    • Must be able to travel the territory
    Ideal experience / attributes
    • 1+ years of proven sales experience
    • Ability to have a scientific understanding of biotechnology
    • Strong collaboration skills - being able to work with all levels of staff including CEO, Senior Management team, and external parties
    • Self-motivated and results orientated with a strong drive
    • Strong customer relations experience
    • Reps that only focus on in-patient setting/sales cycle
    • High-energy, self-starter, someone that can get up and running quickly
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and other stakeholders.
    • High level of proactive problem-solving skills
    • Proven ability to take accountability for the quality and timeliness of their work outputs
    • High level of experience with working autonomously and within a very small team environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of reporting, documentation, and organization.
