    Job Description

    The Junior Buyer continues to manage all aspects of buying, while gaining responsibility in product selection, vendor negotiation, and identifying trends to develop new products, graphics, and Rally House exclusives. They mix the creative with the analytical and make things happen Junior Buyers work both within the company and out to make sure our stores have the ultimate... the best product at the right time.

    Responsibilities

    - Assortment planning and sales analysis
    - Forecast, buy and allocate as needed based on prior sales and product performance
    - Design, create and recommend products to be sold in the store
    - Interpret sales data from the previous year, current trends to create proposals based on the sales data and preferred styles
    - Review standards and vendor agreements before making a vendor recommendation to the Head Buyer
    - Ability to negotiate prices and payment terms with the vendor
    - Determine the quantity to order and allocate merchandise through designated booking windows and at-once opportunities
    - Fixture and signage procurement
    - Execute the transfer of merchandise from the Distribution Center to the stores needed to maintain inventory based on the stores' needs
    - Execution of promotions as needed
    - Travels to meet with vendors and attend conventions

    Skills and Knowledge

    Able to communicate with others in a clear and confident manner, Detail oriented, Functional skills required to make basic use of digital devices and online applications, Growth mindset, Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook., Strong math skills

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Apparel Management, or similar field; 1 to 3 years' experience as an Assistant Buyer or Buyer in a large volume business, preferably in apparel or accessories; Sports enthusiast.

    Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up tp 25lbs, and to walk short distances.
