DescriptionNorth Ranch Country Club is a private club known for its exceptional service, high-quality events, and welcoming atmosphere. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a dependable prep cook with some kitchen experience who is comfortable supporting banquets and occasionally working member-facing action stations.
Schedule: Primarily Thursday – Sunday
Reports To: Executive Chef
Classification: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing food for club banquets and special events, assisting with event execution, and supporting action stations during service. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth event operations and delivering a high-quality experience for our members and guests.
Job Tasks / Duties
- Prepare food items for banquets and events following standardized recipes and prep lists
- Assist with banquet setup, plate-ups, and breakdown
- Work action stations during events as assigned, including occasional member-facing interaction
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep station
- Label, date, and properly store all food items
- Communicate product needs, shortages, or equipment issues to the Sous Chef
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and tools throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Assist with closing duties using established kitchen checklists
- Support the culinary team as needed to ensure successful events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and or Executive Chef

- Ideal for candidates with foundational kitchen experience looking to grow in a banquet environment
- Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions accurately
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced banquet and event environment
- Able to interact professionally with members and guests when working action stations
- English communication skills sufficient to interact with members and follow kitchen instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work in hot, humid, and occasionally noisy kitchen environments
