POSITION :
Corporate UK Accounting Supervisor
LOCATION :
Buckhead, Atlanta, GA (hybrid)
COMP:
up to 90k plus 15%
Responsibilities :
Timely and accurately prepare and/or review financial statements for assigned portfolio/group of UK companies.
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, including but not limited to research and implementation of technical accounting and process memos, IFRS checklist.
Liaising with a third-party company and internal Tax Department in preparing annual tax returns and VAT returns.Review loan and partnership agreements and assist with due diligence and transaction processing for joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions in the UK.Other ad-hoc projects and reporting as assigned, included but not limited to special project budget monitoring, revenue, and agreement trackers, etc.
Supervise and support staff accountants to ensure performance criteria and deadlines are metImplement training for new hires and identify training opportunities for current associatesConduct performance evaluations for the teamManage and facilitate monthly close proceduresAssist with preparing consolidated financial statements and eliminations, following IFRS standards, Companies Act 2006, and RICS regulations.
Assist with explaining budget variances, as well as budget assumptions where required.Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports on variancesAssist with financial and tax audits as well as corporate reporting requirementsIdentify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedure
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS.3+ years of accounting experience which must include upper-level work, experience in corporate accounting preferred1+ years of accounting supervisory experienceCPA a plus, but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Macro or Power Query experience preferred).Highly detail oriented and organized in work, strong research skills.Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
