    The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for all phases of project development within the Technical Services (engineering) organization at the GSK Vaccines manufacturing site in Marietta Pa. This engineering role requires familiarity with a wide range of existing electrical technologies. The Electrical Project Engineer role will have an emphasis on electrical power distribution and industrial electrical projects. The role requires interfacing with site engineering, local project discipline engineers, manufacturing engineering and process and utility equipment OEMs. The Electrical Project Engineer will ensure the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of the electrical projects are designed with a safety focus while being a technical success, in-scope, in budget, and on-time. Key skills for this engineer are attention to detail, being well organized, being a good with communicator, and working well within the peer group as well as vertically within the site organization.

    • Document the electrical requirements for electrical projects for site, process, and utility equipment.
    • Ensure that electrical system designs comply with GSK engineering standards.
    • Ensure the designs comply with all NEC and other electrical design best practices.
    • Ensure electrical equipment safety, reliability, and serviceability are part of base designs (70E).
    • Ensure designs are developed and installations planned to minimize interruptions to ongoing site operations.
    • Participate in investigation and risk assessments related to the site electrical equipment.
    • Oversee the installation and start-up of electrical power systems, process, and utility electrical systems.
    • Troubleshoot existing electrical equipment for process and utilities.
    • Update documentation for electrical power system, for maintenance plans and spare parts requirements.
    • Provide electrical expertise and input in meetings, presentations, audits, and inspections.


    Why you?

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
    • AS in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Technology AND 10 years project / industrial experience

    OR
    • Bachelor's degree plus minimum 3 years' industrial experience


    Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
    • Industrial Experience preferred to be in industrial power including the following areas: Design, installation, testing, and maintenance of industrial electrical power systems - (120vac - 15kv)
    • Backup power system design (generators and/or UPS)
    • Application of NEC. and NFPA70E
    • Working with industrial electrical contractors and on electrical projects.
