    About the Runner Position:

    As Food Runner at PERILLA Korean American Fare, you are responsible for maintaining efficient operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your role involves mastering communication protocols, ensuring food knowledge and preparation are up to standard, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant. Key tasks include:

    • Efficiently performing opening, closing, and deep clean duties.
    • Participating in pre-shift meetings and actively engaging with the team, ensuring a present and attentive presence throughout
    • Clearly announcing important ingredients and allergens to guests when delivering food
    • Demonstrating proper tray technique and maneuverability for efficient food delivery
    • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food to the right tables
    • Safely and responsibly using all provided tools and supplies
    • Confidently assisting with grills and cooking when necessary
    • Ensuring sauces and banchan are prepared and stocked for in-service dining, as well as packaged for to-go orders.
    • Effectively communicating with guests, team, chef, and management.
    • Properly packaging to-go orders and managing to-go tickets
    • Keeping Expo and Banchan Station stocked, organized, and clean
    • Maintaining cleanliness of dining room, restrooms, and other areas during downtime
    • Assisting teammates and providing exemplary service to guests
    • Consistent maintenance of acquired knowledge and skills of your position

The name is an homage to our parents who are first generation immigrants that traveled to foreign land and rooted themselves on new soil. Our food is centered around a communal dining experience. Inspired by Korean flavors and ingredients, we offer our approach on many traditional classics and modern Korean dishes paired alongside new and exciting takes created by Chef Andrew Lim to represent the second generation of Korean Americans and the food we love to enjoy and share.

    Compensation Information:

    • Paychecks are provided weekly every Thursday
    • We offer direct deposit through ADP

    Position Requirements:

    • Must have availability on: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • You will be required to obtain all necessary certificates including a Food Handlers Certificate, BASSET Certificate and an annual Sexual Harassment Training Certificate

    Benefits Information:

    • Health Insurance available after 90 days of employment for full-time employees averaging 32 hours a week
