    Job Description

    Job Overview: The Optometric Technician/ Optical Assistant plays a crucial role in the clinic, assisting patients and helping them choose the right frames and lenses for their prescription.

    • Performs preliminary testing on patients before optometrist visits.
    • Assists patients in selecting frames that suit their style and preferences.
    • Cleans exam rooms and lab between patient visits.
    • Prepares work orders for the optical laboratory.
    • Handles administrative tasks such as inventory tracking and bookkeeping.
    • Assists in equipment maintenance and inventory restocking.
    • Maintains infection control standards.
    • Assists with training new staff members.
    • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Knowledgeable about eyewear products.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Education/Certification/Licensure:
    • High School GED/Diploma.
    • Minimum one (1) year customer service experience.
