- Responsible for the production of highway, interstate drainage and local stormwater improvement projects.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses
- Ensure that drainage designs comply with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Prepare drainage related regulatory permits
- Direct and/or perform drainage engineering calculations from Phase I drainage studies to final design.
- Direct and/or develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants.
- Develop drainage scope of work, budget, and schedule
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of drainage designs and reports.
- 15+ years of drainage design experience required
- IL PE is required
- BSCE is required
- CFM is a plus
- IDOT and ISTHA drainage design experience required with proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and stormwater modeling software, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM and HY-8.
- Ability to provide guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
- Ability to monitor project progress with respect to project budgets, scope of work, and schedules.
- Two-Dimensional Hydraulic Modeling experience in SRH-2D is a plus
