    Responsibilities:

    Working under general supervision, you will provide patient relations support to Patient Financial Services. This includes addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely payment and resolution of accounts. You must possess strong customer service skills, the ability to deescalate situations, and efficiently navigate the system to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. This role demands excellent analytical and prioritization abilities, along with a thorough understanding of payor contracts and billing policies. You may also be trained in other revenue cycle functions to provide additional support as needed.

    Adhering to hospital and department protocols, you will:

    • Demonstrate proficiency in Cedars-Sinai's core patient accounting systems.
    • Monitor work queues diligently to resolve accounts promptly.
    • Adhere to documentation standards and maintain accuracy in data entry.
    • Conduct thorough research to resolve inquiries and complaints.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and third parties.
    • Establish and document payment plans within established guidelines.
    • Ensure timely and accurate collection of accounts.
    • Collaborate with team members and support diverse customer needs.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma/GED required. Associate's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital billing or professional billing/collections, along with customer service experience.
