    Summary

    Lead and inspire the Manufacturing Engineering team in optimizing the production of high-end jets. Provide technical expertise and support the assembly team across all stages - assembly, testing, painting, and delivery.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning & Execution: Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and performance against established plans for the Manufacturing Engineering department.
    • Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve manufacturing processes for enhanced quality, reduced costs, and increased efficiency.
    • Product & Process Development: Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes for product enhancements, changes, and supporting tooling, ensuring zero-defect production at low cost.
    • Technical Problem-Solving: Provide expert support to troubleshoot and resolve production line issues, collaborating with relevant teams to implement solutions.
    • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all processes and procedures adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Training & Development: Lead the development and implementation of technical training programs for Manufacturing Engineers and Production Planners.
    • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to define product specifications, procure equipment, parts, and materials, and ensure quality compliance.
    • Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of major manufacturing engineering projects and programs for the corporation.
    • Software Proficiency: Utilize MES, MS Office, and other relevant software tools for reporting, data analysis, and departmental management.
    • Safety & Security: Ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols within the department.
    • Team Leadership & Communication: Provide guidance to production and quality teams on design concepts, specifications, and best practices for equipment and manufacturing techniques. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
    • Customer Focus: Interact with customers and customer support personnel to ensure product quality and satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree (Masters in a manufacturing-related field preferred).
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering within the aerospace/aviation industry.
    • Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience.
    • In-depth technical understanding and application knowledge of aircraft manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and tools (experience in a similar complex product environment is acceptable).
    • Familiarity with aircraft and product configuration management (or similar complex product configuration management).
    • Proficiency in MES, CATIA, SAP, and Primavera Scheduling systems (or similar enterprise software systems).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work safely and professionally in accordance with company standards and all regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
