    Job DescriptionDescription:

    We are looking for Tax Associates to work as part of a team to serve our clients in an advisory capacity and provide tax preparation services for our clients. Tax Associates will be responsible for interacting with clients, obtaining, and reviewing tax information, preparing tax returns, and performing tax research projects.

    Essential Functions:

    • Review and prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns of varying complexities.
    • Ensure clients comply with IRS regulations and meet local, state and federal tax obligations.
    • Perform services within budgeted time by developing technical, time management and organizational skills.
    • Assist in tax research projects.
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end estimates.
    • Draft response letter to IRS and state notices when needed.
    • Perform accounting/bookkeeping functions as necessary.
    • Participate in firm-wide learning and development programs and gain knowledge from direct on the job coaching
    • Increase areas of responsibility as technical knowledge and proficiency increase.
    • Additional duties as assigned.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or an undergraduate degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA exam.
    • 1+ years prior years' experience in a public accounting firm
    • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, and MS word)
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Demonstrate skills in the areas of time management, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
    • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
