    Description

    Cardiac Care Unit Directorship and Faculty Position at the University of Arizona

    Banner University Medical Center Phoenix, a leading academic medical center, is seeking an experienced cardiovascular intensivist to serve as Director of the Cardiac Care Unit. This will be a unique opportunity to manage complex patients with acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, structural heart disease, mechanical support devices, and advanced heart failure in a collaborative team model.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses in managing critically ill patients
    • Develop and implement protocols for cardiac care unit operations
    • Collaborate with faculty members from Divisions of Cardiology, Pulmonary Medicine, and Cardiac Surgery
    • Provide teaching and mentorship to residents and fellows

    Requirements:

    • Board Certification in Cardiology with BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiology Critical Care, or Surgical Critical Care
    • 5 years of post-fellowship experience in critical care cardiology
    • Experience in managing ECMO, balloon pumps, and mechanical circulatory support
