    *Role:* *Assembly Mechanic - Fuselage I4 (M01BI Rapid Response)

    *Location: - 910 Lake Washington Blvd N, Renton, WA, 98057**Duration: 6+ months contract**Job Description:

    Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures.

    Functional test and correct, fit form and function of assemblies and components.


    Duties:

    • Drill out rivets
    • Shoot rivets in skin panels
    • Squeeze rivets common to interior structure
    • Remove Hi locs
    • Install Hi locs
    • Perform cut and splices
    • Pull holes
    • Oversize holes
    • Layout holes by hand
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings (blueprints)
    • Ability to install freeze plugs
    • Install bushings
    Sealer - Seal parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies' fillet and fay, apply levelling compound or scotch cast etc.

    • Pressure / Vacuum Test - Perform visual and auditory leak checks in aircraft sections
    • Precision Bench Assembly - Assemble precision aircraft parts and assemblies such as landing gear, control linkage etc.
    • Sub-Assembly - Assemble parts to make sub-assemblies using templates, jigs, and fixtures
    • Assembly / Installation Structures - Assemble structural parts, assemblies, and skins to make larger assemblies
    • Assembly / Installation Doors - Pre- assemble, trim, fit , rig , seal, align, and adjust aircraft door systems
    Integral Fuel Cell - Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and wing section components.

    • Inspection - Inspect and document non-conformances on final assemblies, subassemblies, systems, and installations
    Verifies dimensions of parts using both mechanical and electronic measurement tools and, relative to these inspection duties, initiate and

    document corrective action for programming issues and other problems.

    Setup and operate conventional and Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) fastening equipment, similar to Multi-Task Gantry

    Riveter's (MTGR's), Brotje's , C-Frames, IPAC's etc., to assemble components in accordance with engineering specifications,

    *Requirements** *WORKERS MUST BE ABLE TO START TRAINING IN WICHITA THEN HEAD TO RENTON ONCE TRAINING IS COMPLETE.
    * *Contractors will get reimbursed for rental car and lodging while in Wichita. Client will take care of the flight (to and from).

    • Workers must be able to work any shift needed.
    • For safety purposes, sturdy, full-cover, low heeled shoes must be worn in the shop areas.
    • Dresses, skirts and jewelry are not allowed in the shop areas to avoid accidents and injuries.
    • Safety Steel-toed shoes/boots
    • 10+ years' experience (at least 10 years, if they are not as strongly skilled then they probably need more years of experience) (A&P license is not a requirement)
    • Contractors will work in the 737-fuselage area so they must have strong sheet metal experience.
    • Must be able to pass the Plate Test
    • Blueprint required
