    Hiring Opportunity:

    Dayton, OhioOur client is looking for a Programmer to join a top metal forming company, known for their close tolerance hand spinning, CNC metal spinning, hydroforming, metal stamping and punching, and laser cutting.

    The programmer will program, set-up, and operate machinery for the fabrication and production of parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.


    Job RequirementsResponsibilities:

    • Develop CNC programs for mills based on drawings and models
    • Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates
    • Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment.
    Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements-Interact with computer-based controllers (conversational and G&M code) to enter and/or edit job programs and tool selection information-Work with operators to optimize machine capabilities-Plan, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, material, and operating instructions before and while running operations and equipment-Produce and inspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standards-Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work to drawings-Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations-Inspect parts against blueprints and specifications; ensuring product meets specified quality standards-Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks-Ability to stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks-Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects-Demonstrate safe work habits-Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner-Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings and requirementsQualifications and

    Educational Requirements:

    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
    • Detail oriented
    • Manage time with little to no supervision, self motivated
    • Basic math and trigonometry skills
    • Blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities
    • Proficient understanding of G code and M code programming
    • AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience
    • Experience working with three (3) and five (5) axis equipment machining aluminum and steel

    Required Personal Protective Equipment:

    • Safety glasses with side shields as required
    • Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required
    • Gloves as required

    • Welding hood, jacket, face shield, and/or gloves as required
