- Independently conducting laboratory experiments and fieldwork, data analysis, and interpretation to contribute to ongoing research projects is an essential aspect of scientific research.
- Independently analyzing data sets using biogeochemical dynamic tools:
- Perform quality assurance/quality control assessment of data sets.
- Lead biogeochemical component of research related to discover, document, and understand the complex feedbacks by processing samples for analysis.
- Analyzing the data to include writing up the protocols and presenting the work to the principal investigator.
- Assisting with the supervision and mentoring of the other members of the laboratory.
- Management of the lab in terms of ordering items, training lab members with data analyses, and communicating individually with other lab members for their specific needs.
- Communicating regularly and in a timely fashion with the PI regarding research and other issues relevant to the operation of the laboratory.
- Other duties as assigned.

Ph.D. in organic chemistry or related discipline is required. At least one year of postdoctoral experience is highly preferred
Position Summary
As a research-active staff member, this individual will be expected to engage in a vigorous, externally funded research program. In collaboration with Professor Eric Ferreira, this individual will be responsible for significant oversight of the research laboratory operations of the Ferreira Group.
