Job Summary
The University of Miami, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, has a Per Diem opportunity for an Ophthalmic Imager 2 (OI2) in Palm Beach Gardens.Performs diagnostic testing including color fundus photography fluorescein angiography ICG (Indocyanine Green) angiography optical coherence tomography automated perimetry slit lamp photography external photography ocular motility photography.
- Documents procedures and uploads images into the electronic medical record/PACS platform.
- Provides patient-centric care adheres to University of Miami policies standards and values complies with regulations maintains patient confidentiality follows best practices of patient safety hand hygiene and infection control completes mandatory in-services and online training attends educational courses for ophthalmic personnel when assigned demonstrates high quality work through accuracy timeliness professionalism thoroughness meets productivity goals ensures all equipment is calibrated instrumentation is in proper working order participates in clinical research maintains required certifications organizes stock rooms for daily clinical activities travels to satellite eye centers as needed works evenings weekends as needed performs organizational duties as assigned maintains OPS certifications assists with training visiting imaging technicians residents fellows faculty members works providers residents fellows provide training customization imaging software acts preceptor imaging team members super user technology implementations supports residents fellows faculty members imaging presentations performs ocular examinations using specialty-specific instruments under anesthesia OR.
