This job maintains the total HVAC-R equipment throughout Ochsner Health System facilities.
The HVAC-R Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, and performs Preventive Maintenance on a wide variety of Air Conditioning systems, Ice Makers, Refrigerators, and Freezers, utilizing specialized test equipment and hand/power tools.
EducationRequired - High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required - 5 years job related experience
Certifications
Required - Class "A" air condition and refrigeration license from parish or the state of Louisiana and completion of accredited courses in air condition and refrigeration
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
