    About the Job:
    Legacy Mechanical Services, Inc. is a Commercial HVAC/Plumbing Commercial Design/Build, Construction, and Service company located in Kennesaw, GA. We are looking to hire a career minded individual for the role of full-time role of Procurement Manager (HVAC/Plumbing).

    Required: Minimum (5) five years of buying or purchasing with supervisory experience; Must have a Valid Driver's License; Must have authorization to work in the United States.

    Job Summary:
    The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and receipt processes to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services needed for business operations. They develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts with suppliers/vendors, manage supplier/vendor relationships to optimize cost-effectiveness and quality while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Procurement Manager will also oversee the warehouse(s) staff and ensure warehouse operations run efficiently and follow all safety protocols.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
    • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
    • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees following company policy.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Develops and implements procurement strategies to support organizational goals and objectives.
    • Prepares budgets, estimates costs, and negotiates prices with suppliers.
    • Reviews bids from potential suppliers to ensure they are fair and reasonable.
    • Oversees the purchasing process to ensure that it is compliant with federal regulations.
    • Identifies potential suppliers of goods or services who can meet specific needs or provide new growth opportunities.
    • Develops and manages long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products or services.
    • Negotiates contracts with vendors who can provide products or services at a reasonable price.
    • Reviews purchase orders for accuracy and approves payment for goods or services received.
    • Reviews and audits supplier invoices for accuracy and discrepancies.
    • Manages the current inventory management system(s) to track goods as they are purchased and delivered to the company.
    • Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
    • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to assess procurement needs and specifications.
    • Reviews purchase requisitions, verifies budget availability, and ensures compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
    • Oversee the operations of the warehouse(s) and warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency, material is delivered on time, inventory is accurately maintained, assets are tracked per company policy, and staff follows all safety policies.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, BuildOps, Sage Intaact, Basecamp, and other related software.

    Education and Experience:
    • At least (5) years of buying or purchasing experience required, with supervisory experience required.
    • Experience with procurement software and systems required.
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
    • Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPM) preferred.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
    • Ability to travel to different company locations or job sites as required.
