    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including medical history, mental status examinations, and psychosocial assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, which may include pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions.
    • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including monitoring their effectiveness, potential side effects, and interactions with other medications.
    • Provide follow-up care, assess treatment progress, and modify treatment plans as necessary.
    • Perform crisis intervention and provide emergency psychiatric care when required.
    • Collaborate with patients and their families to educate them about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence.
    • Work with diverse patient populations, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders, trauma, and chronic medical conditions.
    • Collaborate with primary care providers, behavioral health team, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated, holistic care to patients.

    Qualifications:

    • Board-certified in psychiatry with a license to practice in New York State.
    • Experience providing psychiatric treatment to adult and pediatric patients.
    • Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric practices.
    • Comfortable using telemedicine technology and electronic medical records.
    • In-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods.
    • Strong observation skills to accurately evaluate patient demeanor and identify symptoms.
    • A great bedside manner and the ability to remain calm, empathetic, and patient while interacting with patients who suffer from severe mental disorders.
