- Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- Answers patient call lights.
- Assists with simple procedures as defined in work area.
- Takes and records vital signs and weights.
- Monitors and records intake and output.

- Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
- Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

Our Behavioral Health unit is an inpatient hospital program providing psychiatric services to individuals age 55 and older who are experiencing behavioral health issues.
Our program therapy helps individuals care for themselves better and follow their primary care provider's directions, particularly about taking medicines.
Under the supervision of an RN, the Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care. Performs procedures for patients and provides technical services and support.Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families.
