    Job Summary

    This role is perfect for a seasoned Business Desk Deal Manager who will play a crucial role in all aspects of the deal process, including pricing, deal structuring, operational execution, compliance, and business approvals. This position offers a challenging opportunity in a fast-paced setting where you can directly influence the effectiveness and accomplishments of the sales team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational execution and leading cross-functional teams, with proven expertise in supporting a team-oriented approach, devising strategies, implementing initiatives, and backing business practices to streamline the entire deal life cycle.

    The Business Desk Team is accountable for overseeing the process and field execution to support the deal life cycle in various regions. Their goal is to establish a comprehensive, consistent, and scalable process, focusing on large, complex, or strategic deals to enhance the likelihood of success while maximizing revenue and profitability of the solutions sold, all while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Act as a trusted advisor to Field Sales Management on pricing, deal structuring, and business terms to bolster the sales efforts in key accounts
    - Oversee crucial stages of the process for Sales and Area/Geo Deal teams:
    • Identification/assessment of opportunities: defining proposal scope, addressing key issues, assigning responsibilities, early risk evaluation, key dates/milestones, progress process and approval levels
    • Deal or Contract Pricing structure: resolving issues, mitigating risks, optimizing economics/margin strategy, ensuring financial and legal compliance with internal procedures/policies, organizing summary materials completion
    • Prioritization and Tracking: managing deal pipeline, conducting weekly status meetings, documenting outcomes, reporting to Area Sales Management
    • Review and approval: progressing through required organizational levels based on deal economics, complexity, non-standard business terms, etc.
    • Process Enhancement: aiding the North America team in setting policies and best practices, working with Sales, Management, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing overall Business Desk and Deal Enablement processes. Supporting Area communication/training on processes, deal review triggers, etc.
    As the subject matter expert, offer guidance to Sales and cross-functional partners in all aspects of the Deal Review/Contract Pricing processes
    Advocate/partner for sales internally to understand complex sales issues, customer and/or competitive trends

    Interaction:
    - Effectively collaborating with employees from Staff to Vice President levels within and across functions, as well as external stakeholders
    - Operating independently with minimal supervision and direction, driving results, and establishing priorities autonomously
    - Desired traits include proactive contribution, subject matter expertise, showcasing positive outcomes through consistent leadership and influence on others

    Education

    A minimum of 12 years of experience is mandatory.
    - A BS/BA Degree is essential, MBA is a bonus
