Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri is hiring a Pathology Assistant to join Laboratory Services in the Pathology Department.

The Pathology Department accurately prepares and processes tissue specimens for microscopic evaluation and review in a timely manner for the Pathologists.

The lab provides a fast-paced environment and offers the opportunity to work with a great team of professionals.

A typical day includes:
Performing gross dissection and dictation of surgical pathology specimens and load processor daily. Assisting pathologists in frozen section slide preparation. Receiving and accession of surgical pathology cases as needed. Managing gross room and frozen section room specimens and inventory.

The position can be either full or part-time, with minimum required hours being between 12:30 pm and 5 pm Monday – Friday.

Job Requirements:

Experience:
One year grossing experience, including complex specimens, and MOHS technician experience preferred

Education:
Bachelor's degree or greater from an approved NAACLS accredited program is required

Licensure/Certification:
Current PA(ASCP) certification is required
