    Seasonal Delivery Driver

    Purpose

    Farmer John's is a family owned, high end, garden center/landscape design and Boutique in Farmington Hills. We are proud to have a supportive and fun group of employees We strive to create an enjoyable working environment and we'd love to have you.

    Drive trucks or other vehicles over established routes or within an established territory and deliver goods, such as grills, patio furniture, umbrella, plants/tree/shrubs.

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Chauffeur license required

    Acceptable driver's record with no traffic violations
    Documents and/or references of experience as delivery driver

    Customer and Personal Service

    Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

    Transportation

    Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by road.

    Tasks

    • Drive trucks to deliver such items as grills, patio furniture, umbrellas and plants/trees/shrubs.
    • Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding products or services.
    • Deliver a wide variety of items to different customer locations via different routes.
    • Follow routes and time schedules.
    • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the delivery vehicles.
    • Follow all DOT regulations and safety standards.
    • Perform deliveries in a timely manner.
    • Preparing and checking each item for delivery daily.
    • Loading the delivery truck for daily deliveries.
