Responsible for covering clinical offices based on operational need assist in examination treatment of patients take vital signs record patient charges record patient history assist minor office procedures participate patient education communicate effectively with others function scope practice thorough knowledge infection control aseptic techniques
- Administer prescribed medication orally injection subcutaneously intramuscularly intradermally document time dosage route patient chart observe report adverse reactions administer treatments routine laboratory tests supervision Physician Allied Health Professional RN initiate intravenous lines add plain IV fluids existing lines discontinue lines direction Physician Allied Health Professional certified perform electrocardiograph pulse oximetry inhalation treatments operate equipment certified travel departments facilities as-needed basis coverage requirements inventory order medical supplies materials needed maintain current California LVN licensure BLS certificate responsible ensuring expired sample medications patient supplies discarded expiration date.
