    George Washington University Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Float Stroke for a nursing job in WASHINGTON, Washington, DC.

    Unit Summary:

    The 6 North unit is a 42 bed multi-specialty area committed to being the innovative leader in Neuroscience, Orthopedic and Trauma services.

    Our unit is equipped with advanced monitoring devices and perfected with an environment conducive to healing.

    We continuously strive for excellence and to promote a culture of safety as we care for the Seizure, Joint and Spine, Trauma and neurosurgical patients.

    We take pride in being a Comprehensive Stroke Unit and a Level 4 Epilepsy unit, the highest levels that can be attained.

    Collaborates care across disciplines to ensure competent and compassionate care of seizure, joint and spine, trauma and neurosurgical patients.

    Works closely with palliative care, acute pain management and case management to ensure patient-centric care which addresses the neurologic patient's unique challenges and needs.

    Integrates a patient centered approach involving the patient and family into the plan of care.
    Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
    Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting.
