    Description
    The Mixer position accurately combines raw ingredients into batches to create finished baked goods. This position performs duties in a safe and sanitary manner to ensure optimum quality and food safety.

    Read and follow recipes accurately.
    Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements.
    Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery and equipment.
    Add or mix ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.
    Start machines to mix or blend ingredients; then allow them to mix for specified times.
    Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

    Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained, and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.

    Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards, measure specific gravity and/or PH and record data.

    Mixers will also be cross trained to operate all manufacturing equipment.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:
    High School diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
    Some previous work-related experience preferred.

    Mixers in production areas are required to lift push or pull up to 50 + pounds occasionally (6% -33 % of the day).

    The lifting of 50# bags of ingredients occurs frequently throughout the 10 hour work day (flours, sugars).
    Other physical requirements include climbing stairs, bending, twisting, walking, repetitive wrist movement and standing for full shifts.

    Work performed will be in a production environment with possible exposure to food allergens, dust, varying temperatures, loud noise level and occasional fumes and chemicals.

    This position requires flexibility about job assignments as days, hours and support tasks may vary depending on production needs. Weekends and overtime may be required.
    Bakery Candy Kitchen Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements must be followed.
    This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
