Description

• Follows all safety procedures and works as safely as possible at all times.
• Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, conveyors, and other processing and manufacturing equipment using water, chemicals, and compressed air.
• Cleans screens, drains, and filters.
• Scrubs the exterior of processing tanks.
• Cleans and scrubs floors in the plant.
• Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Operates industrial truck to transport materials within plant.
• Starts pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery and piping.
• Performs CIPs (Clean in Place) on various processing equipment.
• Operates Floor Scrubber, Baler, Foamer, Pressure Washer, and other equipment in the normal course of completing duties.
• Trains Sanitation Associates.
• Provides guidance in the work duties of Sanitation Associates.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers.
• Knowledge of handling and working with sanitation chemicals such as caustic and acids.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as working in a team.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product.
• Forklift certification required.
• Sanitation experience preferred.
• Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
• Must be proactive.
• Must have regular, and punctual attendance.
• Must have a cooperative attitude.
• Must have the ability to follow up.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 6 months of work experience.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
