The Clinical Pharmacy Technician plays an important role in protecting our patients from medication errors caused by inaccurate medication histories.
Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Clinical Pharmacy Technician will function in the critical role of obtaining an accurate medication history.
This will include interviewing patients, utilizing software and contacting their outpatient pharmacies/facilities.The home medication list compiled by the Clinical Pharmacy Technician will have any discrepancies reconciled by a registered pharmacist to ensure patient safety and optimize pharmacotherapy.
This is a temporary position as part of a pilot for the network that will run through the end of 2024 with potential for continued employment thereafter.
