- 10+ years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney, including working with brands, artists, streaming services, and other media outlets on industry-relevant commercial and product licensing contracts. General corporate, regulatory and policy experience is also required.

- Sharp and smooth. Youre able to pick up, understand and navigate a complex multi-faceted tech-enabled business through all aspects of risk management, with the gravitas and poise to hold their own in rooms with literal and figurative rockstars at the top of their respective games.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admitted to or otherwise qualified to practice in the state of New York.
- Tech product & brand marketing compliance experience strongly preferred.
- Privacy expertise is a strong plus; either way, youll need this under your belt in short order.
- International experience a plus: multiple international locations already, and more expansion this year.
- HR, labor & employment, exec comp experience a plus - youll be partnering with the People team as our company grows.
- M&A/financing corporate transactions experience a plus.

Job Overview
This is a great opportunity for a talented media/content/entertainment lawyer with 10+ years of combined experience at both high-end law firm(s) and in-house. Youll work and collaborate with other top-tier entrepreneurial/entertainment industry leaders to scale the business into its next chapter.
Key Responsibilities
As General Counsel leading a small team, youll optimize the companys full stack legal function across products and business lines with a mix of hands-on direct contribution, team support, outside counsel expertise, and technology resources. Youll work closely with key executives to negotiate and execute strategic partnerships with tech and content companies at the center of the creator, music or culture economy.
