SummaryA public school district in Michigan is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join its student support services team. This role provides district-wide expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), partnering with educators and families to ensure consistent, effective practices.
What You'll Do
- Design and oversee individualized ABA programs to support students' behavioral and academic progress.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and skill-based evaluations
- Develop, monitor, and adjust Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure consistent implementation of interventions.
- Provide training and consultation for staff on evidence-based strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and crisis-response planning.
- Promote a culture of positive behavior support across school environments.
- Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Meets ESSA standards for qualified personnel.
- Demonstrated experience with functional behavior assessments and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of the Positive Behavior Support framework.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
- Ability to collect and interpret data to guide instructional and behavioral decisions.
- Experience working in public school settings.
- Background in developing tiered behavioral interventions (MTSS/PBIS).
- Experience training staff and families in ABA-based strategies.
