Responsibilities & Expectations:
The Outside Sales Representative will lead the standby generator aftermarket sales activities in a defined territory to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability, delivery standards, timelines and customer satisfaction is being delivered and met.
Will be troubleshooting and problem-solving customer generator issues while being able to effectively resolve customer complaints
Work with customers to provide technical solutions to generator system deficiencies
Prepare quotes and proposals
Conduct training for customers for newly installed generators
Build ongoing personal and professional relationships with customers by performing weekly site visits
Meet or exceed sales goals and maintain profit margins
Plan sales work on a long-term basis by setting quotas on calls made to potential and current clients and the potential of sales for each established account
Enter customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database
Travel through assigned territory
Qualifications and Competencies:
Three to five years pertinent sales experience preferably in generator product or service sales, industrial sales or related industries, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent desired
Possess good problem-solving skills while being able to effectively resolve customer concerns
Results-oriented, self-starter and excellent organizational skills
Must have excellent communication capabilities
Must have valid drivers' license and clean driving record with the ability to travel as needed
Ability to work with unit teams in various levels and manage projects as needed
