Part Time - Addiction Physician - 1 or 2 days a weekMuncie Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid use disorder.
The Physician is responsible for the provision of medical services to patients include prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication for the treatment of substance abuse in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Responsible for medical management of patients at all levels of care provided by the clinic. Provides medical oversight to the nursing department under the guidance of the Medical Director and Clinic Director.Responsible for providing medical care for prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication to patients at the clinic, and within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility or clinic policy or procedures;
Performs physical exams on patients admitted for medication maintenance to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems;
Reviews medical information on patients to ensure medical stability, eligibility for program, and to offer medical recommendations;
Provides patient and staff education on medical maintenance;
Reviews and completes medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures;
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure; Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university
Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the clinic(s) operates
