    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Writes/modifies/debugs computer programs with minimal to no supervision, of all levels of complexity from simple, medium to high level complexity.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test and modify computer programs
    Ability to independently troubleshoot reported programming issues, provide solution and resolve the issues in timely manner.
    Support and enhance existing IT Applications and services including but not limited to, new EDI requirements, new client acquisitions, new business acquisitions, data interfaces implementations
    Prepares and runs the test plans as needed
    Complete daily Departmental duties as assigned in a timely and professional manner
    Monitors and troubleshoots system/application performance issues with minimal to no supervision.
    Work with geographically separated team on the application development, bugs fixing/enhancements, QA process and effectively communicate with them.

    PREFERRED SKILLS
    4+ years hands-on experience with RDBMS - Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres
    4+ years' hands-on experience of JAVA programming language
    Good knowledge of data structures, data exchange and data conversion
    Knowledge of Internet/Intranet, client/server technologies.
    Knowledge of Software development life cycle

    Good organization skills, the ability to multi-task, and communicate with management while simultaneously work with management and team members to get the appropriate priority level assigned to meet strict deadlines.

    Good written and verbal communication & presentation skills - effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, vendors and staff; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in an architectural/functional diagram
    Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred); 4 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
