- Direct food preparation and collaborate with the Executive Chef
- Produce high-quality plates, including both design and taste
- Help oversee and supervise evening kitchen staff
- Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering
- Keep stations clean and complies with food safety standards
- Ensure that sanitation standards are upheld as set forth by local, state, and federal regulations
- Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen's performance
- Maintain up to date recipes, procedures and plating
- Assist and ensure the line is set-up for service
- Maintains an adequate inventory level for food products and supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
- Manage closing tasks
- Works with Executive Chef on seasonal, special, and holiday menus
- Participate in pre-shift meetings: specials, 86'd items, and/or menu changes
- 3+ years of experience working in restaurant kitchens
- 1+ years as a Sous Chef
- Requires verbal, reading, and written communication skills
- Food Safety (ServSafe) certification preferred
- Ability to lead/manage others, to inspire staff and deliver constructive feedback
- Knowledge of professional cooking principles, current applicable food codes and other relevant safety regulations
- Private dining and banquet experience a plus
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Weekend and evening availability
