Okland is looking for a project cost accountant to manage multiple construction projects.

Founded in 1918, Okland Construction operates as a regional general contracting and construction management company with nearly 1,000 employees and growing.
It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, and inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-preform on large commercial scale.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle all accounting responsibilities associated with assigned construction projects
Work directly with Job Cost Accountant Leads and Project Director on special project
required assignments
Facilitate cost forecasting and budget variance analysis
Ensure the cost is compliant and accurate per client contracts and requirements.
Prepare monthly owner billings per Owner and/or Lender Requirements to submit by deadline and follow up on payment
Process monthly subcontractor billings and payments
Review and enforce subcontract compliance
Review and process supplier invoices
Process change orders and issue subcontractor supplements
Attend on-site project review meetings and prepare final financial reports for assigned projects
Ability to communicate with project managers, field team and your accounting department.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and needed for a successful project.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Business (Accounting/Finance preferred) or four years of related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (VBA/Access is a plus)
Experience with Sage Timberline or other accounting information system is a plus but not required
Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts and theories
Understanding of cost accounting principles and knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable process
Keen attention to detail and organization
Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position
Engaging communication skills
Ability to self-manage and meet all monthly deadlines
Excels under pressure when required to meet deadlines
