- Collaborates with managers, directors, the VP
- Nursing & Patient Care Services, VP Chief Nursing Officer, Academic agencies, and other disciplines in the development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating of onboarding and orientation program for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
- Identifies and designs educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, which includes licensed and nonlicensed personnel. These activities are designed to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvements in knowledge, skill and practice in a positive learning and practice environment.
- Integrates Evidence Based Practice (EBP), Research and Quality Improvement (QI) to continuously improve practice in patient care settings by conducting, encouraging, facilitating and participating in EBP/Research and QI analysis to include dissemination of findings.
- Collaborates with interprofessional partners to share experiences in planning and decisionmaking to achieve desired educational outcomes.
- Supports strategic planning within the Clinical Professional Development areas of responsibility (that may include technology advancements) by embracing meaningful change, identifying and addressing barriers to change, assisting in the development, resource utilization and implementation of change strategies by educating/supporting staff, and monitoring sustainability of the change.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence in decisionmaking and supports a culture of innovation and lifelong learning.
- Interacts with peers and colleagues to enhance professional practice and role performance.
- Advances the profession by mentoring students, nurses, and other professional colleagues
- Acquires knowledge and seeks experiences to develop, maintain and improve competence in specialty and professional development.
- Assists in the placement and orientation of students from various universities, colleges, and training programs as well as clinical faculty.
- Provides input into department annual budget and demonstrates stewardship of financial resources.
- Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
- May perform other duties upon request.
- BLS certification required.
- 5 years of relative work experience required.
