Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician II provides on-site support for the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays to contracted and ORC facilities in compliance with various standards. They use developed skills and practical knowledge to perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks independently.,,
Responsibilities
- Supports daily operations of all activities that relate to the reprocessing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage processes aligned with IP professional standards regulation. ,
- Operates all mechanical machinery within the department such as cart washers instrument washers steam sterilizers low temp sterilizers ultrasonic drying cabinets within sterile processing. ,
- Works independently proficiently in all areas of sterile processing including decontamination cleaning assembly wrapping sterilization storage area processes aligned with IP professional standards regulations. ,
