Summary
Lee Physician Group is seeking an experienced clinical leader to join their Clinical Education Department in the role of Manager Nursing Professional Development Specialist.
Supports leadership and clinical excellence through evidence based practice, excellent patient care through education and development that aligns with Lee Health strategic priorities.
Demonstrating collaborative leadership with a focus to standardize education and practice across the system, will assure that nursing care and practice are of the highest quality to improve patient outcomes.
This position functions as a leader of a system or corporate team that provides education consultation for leadership, physicians, inter-professional teams, volunteers, performance improvement teams, and other system wide committees to provide the following services: evidence based practice solutions and educational support to improve clinical knowledge, practice, competence, patient safety, quality, clinical outcomes, and employee engagement.
Maintaining a focus on standardization of workflow processes, policies and procedures, clinical practices, standards of care, competencies, across the system is an integral function of this role.
This position serves as the program director that oversees the Nurse Residency Program. In addition, manages assigned Nursing Professional Development Practitioners both corporate, Resident Development Specialists and Nursing Student Academic Coordinators. Communicates pertinent campus level requests and initiatives to the system level (System Director of Clinical Learning).Leads and facilitates an approach to determine if identified gaps that may exist at the campus level are systematic in nature, to promote a standardized, versus siloed approach to system-wide programs.
This position provides expertise in instructional design methodology:
conducting comprehensive data driven needs analysis, problem delineation, and identification of evidence based solutions, interventions, and education to fill identified knowledge/practice/behavioral needs.
Demonstrates competence in evaluation methods to measure the impact of system-wide programs, focusing on the improvement of clinical practice, patient outcomes, employee/patient engagement, and return on investment.
Provides leadership to support systematic change management across the health system. Assures that all educational interventions, programs, and services meet regulatory, accreditation, practice and legal standards. Supports local university/collegiate academic leaders, faculty, and students who utilize Lee Health facilities for clinical rotations.Participates in collegial partnerships and projects to promote research, evidence based practice initiatives that will improve student competence/practice, patient safety, and improved clinical outcomes.

Demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning; memberships in national professional organization is preferred such as Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) or Association of Talent Development (ATD).
