    Description

    Position Summary:

    This role involves providing project support and overseeing construction projects. Reporting to the General Superintendent, the incumbent directs field activities, collaborating with various teams and ensuring project success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute construction projects as directed by the General Superintendent.
    • Coordinate project plans with General Foreman, Foreman, and subcontractors.
    • Secure necessary equipment and attend pre-construction meetings.
    • Collaborate with the project team, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of challenges and schedules.
    • Set up job office, coordinate HR activities, and recruit craft workers.
    • Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager on project status.
    • Oversee inventory control, safety measures, and troubleshoot construction issues.
    • Execute change orders, monitor project deadlines, and inspect work for quality.
    • Attend weekly Project Manager meetings and manage project expenditures.
    • Coordinate equipment maintenance and ensure standardized construction procedures.
    • Assist inspectors and auditors during visits and enforce company policies.
    • Hold employees accountable for safety and compliance with company policies.
    • Ensure good housekeeping practices and address safety hazards.
    • Secure the project site after work hours and provide safety training for new employees.
    • Update Project Manager on project completion status regularly.
    • Collaborate with various teams to complete projects safely and environmentally.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of construction or supervisory experience.
    • Proficiency in handling construction equipment and integrating various crafts.
    • Knowledge of pile driving, crane operations, welding, carpentry, and related areas.
    • Previous supervisory experience and certification in First Aid and CPR.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
