    PURPOSE

    The Marketing & Events Coordinator, under the direction of the Fundraising and Communications Director, is responsible for implementing annual and longer-term fundraising and marketing strategies, including coordinating CHIP's marketing and communication activities.

    You'll play an active role in bringing the CHIP brand to life in online and in-person venues.

    The role encompasses a versatile skillset, from storytelling to event planning, that helps CHIP expand its brand awareness and deepen relationships with the community and our partners and clients.

    A minimum of 2 years in event coordination.

    Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in close partnership with a chief executive and board of directors.

    The ability to develop and produce Communications & Marketing materials and collateral: photographs, presentations, website content/webpages, blog posts, social media, newsletters, SMS text messages, donor materials, annual reports, brochures, press and media releases and alerts, and other materials.

    Ability to emotionally influence people through storytelling. Well-versed in articulating the needs of marginalized communities for a variety of stakeholders.

    A highly collaborative work style with the ability to foster a team approach to project/task completion within CHIP and with outside partners.

    A Qualified Candidate will be able to
    Recruit, oversee, and coach volunteers to help meet department goals.
    Participate in the creation of and implementation of an annual Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising plan.
    Develop and implement strategies and plans to increase event awareness and attendance.

    Maintain social media platforms by planning and creating content, engaging with followers, responding to inquiries, monitoring important topics, and engaging in social listening.

    Qualifications and Education
    Minimum 2 years in Communications, Marketing, PR, Fundraising, or related fields.
    Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
    Bring vision, authenticity, and strategic thinking to their work.
    Strong working knowledge of office and design computer software, web design, and, in particular, social media design and implementation.
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    Provide his/her own car, a valid CA driver's license, and be insurable under the criteria established by CHIP general liability carrier.

    Must provide current proof of insurance at the levels specified by the CHIP travel policy.
