    Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time CAD Drafter opportunity available based inCharleston, SC.Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES

    • Work in conjunction with Principal Designers and Engineers to help develop all aspects of a project
    • Prepare complete sets of complex drawings which include multiple views, detail drawings, and assemblydrawings using Revit and AutoCAD software
    • Work from sketches, models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer, architect, or designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments
    • Select required information from precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, specifications, and technical guides
    • May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a technical assistant for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project
    • Provide support in defining and developing detailed calculations, drawings, design and installation packages, technical reports, and detailed analyses
    • Support the verification of the design specifications and assure accuracy of red-lined drawings upon project completion
    • Assist in the preparation of drawings and technical specifications for final customer presentations
    • Develop, review and update Installation Design Packages (IDPs) for 30%, 60%, 90% and final design reviews in accordance with the NIWC Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH)
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of office drafting and engineering standards, including but not limited to office policies, guidelines, technical instructions, standards, etc.
    • Support client reviews of drawings, design and installation packages, technical reports, and detailed analyses
    • Provide support for other engineering activities as required
    • Assist in the training and mentoring of team members in the use of AutoCAD and Revitper required standards and processes

    Required QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
    • 1-3 years of experience in Revit
    • 3-5+ years of experience in Autodesk AutoCAD; 2018or later
    • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
    • Skilled in the use ofRevit and AutoCAD, specifically NIWC SIPH drawing standards
    • Proficient in the use of Adobe PRO for document preparation
    • Experienced working with Engineers, Architects, and Technicians.
    • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

    PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS

    Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | lists out applicable current vaccination requirements by location.

    • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
    • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
    • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
