    Power Systems Electrical Engineer - Solar

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join our solar energy team.

    In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and interconnection of solar power systems to the electrical grid.

    You will work closely with our construction and development teams, serving as a liaison to ensure project requirements are met while adhering to relevant regulations and engineering standards.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and engineer solar power systems, including electrical schematics, load calculations, and system interconnections.
    • Conduct power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and grid impact assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards related to solar power system interconnection and grid integration.
    • Coordinate with utility companies and regulatory bodies for interconnection approvals and grid integration requirements.
    • Collaborate with construction teams to provide technical guidance and ensure seamless implementation of electrical designs.
    • Liaise with development teams to translate project requirements into engineering specifications and designs.
    • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for solar power system projects.
    • Stay uptodate with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in solar power system design and grid integration.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license in your state of practice.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on renewable energy or solar power systems.
    • Strong understanding of power system analysis tools and software (e.g., PSSE, ETAP, CYME, etc.).
    • Proficient in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
    • Excellent problemsolving, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams, including construction and development.
    • Familiarity with utility interconnection requirements and grid integration standards.#J18808Ljbffr
