Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
- Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
- Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
- Give medications and treatments
- Engage patients in exercises or other activities
- High School Diploma or GED
- Driver's license (bonus)
- One-year prior professional experience preferred
- CHHA - NJ preferred (we can work with you to start a class to receive the license)
Compensation: $ $200.00 per day
Stephanie McCarter Flynn, founder of Evolving Care (est. 2015), recognized the importance of excellent at-home care from a young age. Her sister, Eleanor, is multiply impaired and for her parents, finding reliable, skilled and professional caregivers was not an easy task.Establishing Evolving Care was a natural outcome of Stephanie's work and life experience, which includes a solid foundation of assessing seniors and placing caregivers based on their needs. Prior to that she worked in the fashion industry for a large New York corporation and with a privately owned New Jersey business. Stephanie has a strong liberal arts education from Lafayette College.
She is an entrepreneur driven to develop, direct and lead her at-home care agency, ACHC accredited as of 2019. Obtaining Accreditation was not a small task for boutique agencies like hers. She persevered and worked diligently with her staff and consultants to ensure her agency was compliant and could compete with large home health care corporations.
