    CNA currently has an opportunity for a Premium Audit Sr. Technician to join our Premium Audit team supporting our US offices.

    With general supervision, this role will perform data input in commercial policy premium systems to produce accurate audit statement calculations on workers compensation, general liability and automobile policies. May involve specialized calculations and quality review of peer and BPO work product. Knowledge of Workers Compensation and General Liability coverages, classification usage and exposure development are key for the position. Collaboration with premium audit team on inquiry resolution from customers. Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and strong attention to detail. Will use Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
    • Sets up and maintains interim and RM premium audit files for complex premium audits in accordance with internal operating procedures.
    • Compares and checks information supplied by premium auditors from the field for consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy.
    • Reviews and processes appropriate information records and works with auditors to ensure accuracy.
    • Performs advanced policy calculations.
    • Coordinates with customers and underwriting, when necessary, for additional information. Responds to and resolves external customer inquiries.
    • Provides data input into insurance systems accurately.
    • Provides training expertise and feedback to Premium Audit Technicians.
    • Researches Audit Status Report to clear older expired policies that need to be billed
    • Endorses added states to policy before billing final audit. Reports to Audit endorsement team Additional/Return premium information in accordance with internal procedures. Respond or initiate Large AP emails so that current term policy can be endorsed.
    • Verify Automation reports for WC rating errors and clears errors. Maintains accuracy of reporting system (JAMS- i.e. close out audits when completed with estimated and actual premiums).

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    • Solid knowledge of the insurance industry with an understanding of all lines of business.
    • In-depth understanding of policy language and documentation.
    • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure situations.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.

    Education and Experience

    • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
    • Typically a minimum of three year's related work experience.
