    Loan Servicing Specialist - Loan Administration
    Salary: $22.25/hourly + DOE

    GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY
    Performs complex loan servicing support and escrow functions by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Assists internal and external customers with complex loan or escrow questions, which may pertain to loan, tax, reserve, partial collateral releases, and insurance issues; prepares necessary correspondence and provides supporting documentation.
    2. Researches and addresses complex and unusual loan and escrow servicing-related issues and customer complaints, forwarding only the most complex issues to the supervisor.
    3. Reviews and reconciles various reports; identifies, researches, and resolves errors and inconsistencies; analyzes account activity and prepares statements as necessary.
    4. Develops subject matter expertise and stays abreast of pertinent regulatory requirements and bank procedures and policies, communicates with investors to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
    5. May act as a lead within assigned unit, directing workflow and reviewing junior staff work for accuracy and completeness; trains new employees, identifies and addresses the ongoing training needs of staff.
    6. Performs other work related duties as assigned by supervisor.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    May supervise assigned delegates within a unit of the Loan Servicing Section. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending new hires, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Minimum: Four years loan servicing, real estate, financial industry or related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience; relevant education and/or training may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience.
    Preferred: Experience in a lead role.

    SKILLS and ABILITIES:
    Ability to keyboard 35 wpm and operate a 10-key calculator required; word processing and spreadsheet software experience required.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY:
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
